Info

During the summer of 2024, I worked as a freelance designer for Felix Semibratov, a New York-based fashion brand, supporting the launch of a new venue at Early Terrible in the Lower East Side. The project combined digital design, motion media, and physical installation to create a cohesive promotional experience for the opening event.

I designed and developed a responsive RSVP website with custom interaction flows to manage guest registration and event engagement, which generated over 400 sign-ups prior to the launch. In parallel, I collaborated on three promotional 3D animations, two created using real-time motion systems in TouchDesigner, which were featured both during the event and across the brands digital platforms.

For the venue opening, I also designed and built an interactive installation using repurposed CRT monitors sourced from Canal Street, combining generative visuals, motion graphics, and spatial media to create an atmospheric visual centerpiece within the space.

Reflections

This project gave me valuable experience working as a freelance designer in a fast-paced cultural and nightlife context, where design decisions needed to balance creative expression with real-world constraints such as timelines, venue conditions, and audience engagement.

It strengthened my ability to work across multiple mediums, including web design, real-time motion graphics, and physical installations, while maintaining a consistent visual identity for the brand. The experience also reinforced the importance of adaptability and rapid iteration when developing interactive media for live environments.
